The McClure PTSA serves the school in many ways, and we appreciate all our volunteers who enable us to do so!  Listed below are our committees for the 2022 -2023 school year and the volunteer chairs of those committees.  The committee chairs will need additional volunteers during the school year for the committees listed in red.  Please look for volunteer sign ups in the Maverick Minute eblast, or email mcclureptsa@gmail.com for more information.

Candy Grams – Organizes volunteers to sell and distribute candy grams before school in February.  Volunteers needed. Chair – Sarah Long

Duty Free Lunch – Coordinates parents to monitor students in the cafeteria to allow teachers to enjoy a quiet lunch.  We provide Duty Free Lunch once a month; look for the Sign Up Genius in the Maverick Minute to volunteer.  Chair – Megan Bell

Family Engagement – Works at helping to encourage families to be active participants in school and PTSA activities.  Chairperson – NEED CHAIRPERSON

Grade Level Events – Plans and executes a school social event at McClure. 6^th and 7^th grade events take place in the Fall.   The 8^th grade event is the 8^th grade dance in the Spring.

Healthy Living – Promotes healthy living to students throughout the year and/or organizes healthy living activities each day of one specific week. Chairperson – Danielle Watson

Hospitality – Helps plan events for Teacher Appreciation Week and other special treats for teachers during the year.  Many volunteers are needed to send in food items, decorate for special events, and serve on occasion. Co-Chairs – Kelly Murray and Diane Pulley

Legislation and Advocacy – Keeps McClure parents informed of all legislation regarding education.  Chairperson – NEED CHAIRPERSON

Lost and Found – Keeps the lost and found closet organized and displays items periodically. Chairperson – Michelle Cook

Membership – Runs PTSA membership drive, distributes membership cards, and keeps membership list current. Chairperson – Jessica Scirica

Olympics – Coordinates volunteers and other needs for the Field Day Week. Co-Chairs – Jenna Abel and Sarah Grace Hajjar

Red Ribbon Week – Coordinates activities for Red Ribbon Week.  Chair – Alicia Thibodean

Reflections – Promotes the PTSA art contest.  Collects entries and assures guidelines were followed.  Secures judges and plans awards ceremony. Chairperson – Amber Broadnax

Spirit Nights – Coordinates Sparkles, Chic fil a and Culver’s Spirit Nights.  Chairperson – Sara Jordan

Spirit Wear – Designs and orders Spirit Wear t-shirts.  Chairperson – Jess Winter

STEMapalooza – A fun night of STEM activities at McClure. Co-Chairs – Lori Jenkins and Brooke DeForest

Susan Wing Scholarship – Coordinates the details of awarding the annual McClure PTSA scholarship to a graduating senior.  Chairperson – Brooke DeForest

Teacher Grants – Coordinates teacher grant opportunities for classroom needs. Chair – Sarah Federico 

Thanksgiving Food Drive – Coordinates a food drive in November.  Co-Chairs – April Brantley and Sarah Bosnak

Trading Post (School Store) – Sells merchandise to students.  Store is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before school. Chair – Holly Houston
